symbolism

The Dagger

Throughout history, daggers have had diverse meanings. For instance, Assassin's daggers symbolize deceit, betrayal and stealth, while daggers like the Poignard represent honour, pride, protection, courage and strength. The dagger’s symbolism for this brand therefore represents the pride that I take in my work, how I have courage to create unconventional designs and to use my strengths to the best of my advantage.

The Dahlia

This brand utilises the black dahlia as its symbol, known for its dark symbolism like sadness, betrayal and a culmination of negative emotions but also for representing inner strength, grace and uniqueness as a black sheep. In my brand, it embodies going against the norm, finding strength, and creating memorable and lasting work.
